Today the BBC is drawing the audience's attention to the charges charity giving sites levy on their users. They focus heavily on JustGiving, which charges £15 per month and 5% on each donation.

Some people, like the lady in the article, seem angry at the charges. I'm not sure they needed to get into that state: JustGiving say how much they will charge up front, and there is competition in the market, so you don't have to use JustGiving if you don't want to.

    What do you think?

@crossfeednews just shared this funny image with the world, and I thought I'd share it with you.
In this world with so much to worry about, it is reassuring to remember what Jesus has done for us all.
If you don't get the joke, I suggest you read Luke 24 and the Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1

Today was a special day for those interested in numbers, dates and time. Today was "Binary Day" (10/10/10). There are various things you could have been doing today, especially at 10:10:10 on 10/10/10, but what were you doing?

Photo sharing site Flickr asked their users to take and upload a photo today to show what you were doing.
I did so, at (roughly) 10:10:10. This is my photo:

Other people took quite arty shots, such as:

    and:

You can see the whole selection and choose a favourite for yourself.

As the day is currently still in progress, more photos are still being added.
    What did you do today?

Paul Boag on Twitter just asked for suggestions of amusing videos on YouTube. Here are a selection I can think of:

American Idol Season 7 - Milo Turk Performs "No Sex Allowed"
This one was shown (for humour) during the introduction to my YWAM DTS course:

    Numa Numa
    You can't beat a classic lip-(almost)-sync:

    Leeroy Jenkins (Warning, contains F-word)
I actually used (an F-word removed) version of this in a talk about team-work in the youth group I helped at once:

    Gimme Pizza Slow
Maybe a tad long, but could become an anthem!

    The Realize Movie
Not particularly funny, but thought provoking:

It is funny: I'm sure there are many more funny videos I've seen on YouTube over the years, but when it comes to recalling them, I'm having a hard time! If you think of any, why not post links in the comments here, and let @boagworld know on Twitter too.

Unix Phone, originally uploaded by edross.

Here is a public phone I saw in India. I don't think this phone actually ran on Unix, but I could be wrong!
