How do you keep people out of your world? In Christian circles, there is a lot of language that can be used that, without knowing the context, could really alienate outsiders, as demonstrated in this video:

IT people have their own set of special words, and I'm sure those who skateboard, knit or bungee jump do too. What words or actions have you noticed in your group, and what have you done to try to be more open to outsiders (and do you want to be more open to outsiders?!)
Is it wrong to have these shorthand expressions? Should we really use full explanations every time we want to communicate something with someone who would already know the background?
